ABOUT US
Vernon Family Farm is located on 33 conserved acres in Newfields, NH along the Piscassic River and route 87. Our family and our crew love being able to provide an easier way to eat local year-round, while also inviting you to experience life on the farm.
We’re a one-stop-shop for local food.
We sell a variety of our own nonGMO, pastured chicken, pork, lamb, and grass-fed beef plus a variety of other pastured meats, dairy, eggs, fruit, vegetables, dry goods, cold goods, prepared and frozen foods, and much more.
We’re grateful that our farm store can make a larger local impact by supporting approximately 50 other local vendors, small businesses, and farms from New England.
We continuously strive to reduce waste, improve our regenerative practices, and create community agritourism events that bring locals together, while eating finger-licking good, local food!

JEREMIAH
As co-owner of Vernon Family Farm, Jeremiah Vernon oversees all livestock operations, including pasture management and rotational grazing systems, crop planning, and daily animal care. His approach blends science-based decision making with hands-on experience, prioritizing animal welfare, soil health, and long-term land stewardship.
-
Jeremiah is a 10th-generation New Hampshire native who grew up on his family’s homestead on Pingree Road in New London, NH, where a deep connection to animals, land, and the outdoors took root early. He is a graduate of Proctor Academy and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bates College.
Following college, Jeremiah worked at Nezinscot Farm in Turner, Maine, where he discovered his calling in agriculture and met his wife, Nicole. At the time, Nicole was teaching Spanish at Hyde School in Bath, Maine, a private boarding school located about 30 minutes from Turner.
Jeremiah has been actively farming on the Seacoast of New Hampshire for more than a decade. He now farms land that is deeply personal to his family and community, located within the same school district where Nicole later taught Spanish for many years at Exeter High School.
Jeremiah brings a high level of creativity to his work, applying it not only to sustainable grazing and land management, but also to the design and coordination of agritourism and educational events that meaningfully connect the public with working farms. His work reflects a balance of tradition and innovation, with the goal of building resilient agricultural systems and a farm that supports both people and the land for generations to come.
NICOLE
Nicole runs the farm store, manages ordering, inventory, and customer service, oversees merchandising, and handles all wholesale accounts. She is also the voice and creative force behind VFF’s online presence, guiding social media storytelling, email marketing, website content, and brand aesthetics. Nicole coordinates events, curates local goods, supports education initiatives, and keeps the many moving pieces of the farm connected and flowing.

Nicole Vernon was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, where her love of language, culture, and community first took shape. After graduating from St. Lawrence University and earning her master’s degree from Middlebury College, she began a 15-year career teaching Spanish at Exeter High School. During that time, she inspired countless students to explore multilingualism, global perspectives, and the joy of connecting across cultures.
Nicole first discovered the land that would one day become Vernon Family Farm while running the cross-country trails with the athletes she coached. What started as admiration for a beautiful stretch of New Hampshire countryside gradually grew into a deeper calling. As she and her husband Jeremiah built their farm and family, Nicole found herself increasingly drawn to the pace, purpose, and potential of agricultural life.
In 2025, she made the decision to leave the classroom and join the farm full time, bringing her creativity, leadership, and communication skills directly into the heart of Vernon Family Farm.
She and Jeremiah are raising their three children bilingually, just as Nicole was raised by her Polish parents. Their kids roam the fields each season, learning firsthand about stewardship, hard work, and the beauty of small-farm life.
From her years in the classroom to her full-time work nurturing a community-centered farm, Nicole’s path has always been about connection, connecting people to food, to farmers, to culture, and to the land they all share.
Our crew and family members play an important role in making Vernon Family Farm what it is today.
We couldn’t do it without their energy, teamwork, and brainpower. We are thankful to have employees who enjoy working hard, getting dirty, and manage to always have time to engage in meaningful conversations with our customers and our children.
