The summer is fun at the farm. We have reoccurring events on Fridays and special events with live music. Save the dates on your calendar and join us for farm, food, and fun! Many of our events are also on FaceBook. Check it out!


Join guest Chef Dave Vargas at the farm for tacos. Come dine at the farm with friends/family, enjoy the music and farm atmosphere plus incredible tacos featuring local ingredients.
Local beverages by donation, no outside alcohol permitted. All paper products and cutlery is biodegradable and plastic free. Help us make an impact, bring your own water bottle, free H20.

Wicked Chicken Rotisserie Nights at Vernon Family Farm 🐔


During the months of June, July and August, we invite the community to dine at the farm on Fridays for our Wicked Chicken Rotisserie Nights. If you choose to dine in, here are some details to remember:

Wicked Chicken Rotisserie Nights at the farm! Don’t worry about a pre-order, just come for a chicken between 4pm-8pm at the farm.

We have 4 different spice blends available. All spice blends are from Stock and Spice (Portsmouth, NH). All rotisserie chickens are dairy and gluten free.

~VFF custom rub (our most popular rub; lemon zest, thyme, tarragon, oregano, amchur, smoked paprika, garlic, onion, Hungarian paprika, salt, brown sugar)

~Tuscan Herb (rosemary, fennel, oregano, basil, garlic, onion, chile flakes, salt)

~Coffee Rub

~Harissa (smoked paprika, ancho, cayenne, chipotle, Aleppo, chile powder, garlic, oregano, cumin, coriander, caraway, red pepper)


~$9/lb, approximately $25 per rotisserie chicken (price varies depending on size of chicken)


~Rotisserie chickens were raised by VFF, all chicken is nonGMO, pasture raised, USDA certified and Halal certified.

Our Wicked Chicken Patio is ready. We have a green space and 4 fire pits for the public to enjoy. Enjoy a gorgeous farm-scape, our Wild Flower Meadow and live music! The farm store is open for shopping and we are stocked with farm pops!

~If you eat at the farm, please make sure to bring your own sides. We do have compostable plate-wear and cutlery available for $1/setting.

~We have a bar by donation available with local beverages and free potable water. Please, no outside alcohol.

~Wicked Chicken Rotisserie Nights during these months is 4pm-8pm.

Hold a Chick 🐥

Every Friday in the Summer (May 3rd-september 13th), 10am-12pm 

Shop local and see where your food comes from. Visit the farm store, buy your groceries, hold a baby chick, and enjoy a farm pop made with local fruit and organic cane sugar. 

It's the perfect way to spend a sunny Friday morning with friends and community!

STARTING july 19th 10am-12pm 

Look forward to make your own flower crowns at the farm. This is an activity that run at the same time as Hold a Chick. Flowers for crowns are provided by Omniflora Farm (Kittery, ME). Crowns are $5 each. Look forward to this event on FaceBook as it is NOT a weekly activity.

2019 Events and Activities


Join for our Fire and Ice celebration, August 23rd, 2019 4pm-7pm. 

It is a family friendly farm event and it’s a perfect Friday afternoon/evening activity. Come and join many other community members for live music, fire performances, face painting, flower crowns, and local food on the farm. Look forward to hayrides, baby chick viewing/holding, farm pops and more. This year we celebrate 5 YEARS OLD! Come and enjoy!

Custom spiced chicken for delicious pulled BBQ rotisserie chicken sandwiches, kale caesar salad, chips and a drink are available for purchase. Feel free to bring a blanket/lawn chairs for your own comfort. 

Beer/wine by donation.

Join us as we celebrate good food, good music & good people.

Again this year, we’re happy to partner with Bright and Lyon Music Productions. Enjoy a a 4-course meal prepared by executive chef Matt Provencher (The Foundry Restaurant) in an open-air community table set in the field where the bulk of the food was produced.

Immediately following, we’ll feast on the live music of top-notch, timeless music around a bonfire in an adjacent field stage (seating provided).

Prior to dinner, we’ll enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and good cheer – making this a perfect musical and culinary experience.
