Rainbow Veggie Sushi | Kids in the Kitchen

  • Vernon Family Farm 301 Piscassic Road Newfields, NH, 03856 United States (map)

Do you have a picky eater? Are you looking for creative ways to expose kids to veggies and other nutrient-dense foods while helping them develop important lifelong kitchen skills?

Sushi Making at the farm is a great opportunity to play with veggies, practice your cutting skills with a child friendly knife, try new foods in a safe, fun environment, and learn how to make sushi. We will be using fresh veggies from VFF, rice, nori, hummus and other local ingredients. Feel free to bring a small container to take home any leftover sushi rolls.

Misa from Misa’s Clean Kitchen is offering 4 kids cooking classes outdoors at the farm that are designed to show kids that food can taste good AND be good for you! All of our recipes are gluten, dairy, peanut nut-free, and made with a special nutrient-dense ingredient. Ingredients are organic and locally sourced from Vernon Family Farm when possible. We hope you can join us on the farm soon where we can create, have fun, and try new foods together.

Classes are geared towards preschool and elementary school-aged students. A minimum of 5 students is required for class to run. Reimbursement will be given or credited towards another class. Each class is $32. For the full menu and details please visit the link below and to register scroll down to the bottom of that page.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Misa is a Certified Culinary Nutritionist, Health Coach, and former first grade teacher with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She started Misa’s Clean Kitchen as a way to combine her passion for working with kids and her passion for nutrition.

Raising healthy kids in a fast food, highly processed world with sugar around every corner is HARD! As a mom of 2 girls, and someone who has gone through the picky eating stage of life with one of her daughters, Misa loves helping families navigate through these challenging times and successfully come out on the other side. She believes creating healthy habits while our kids are still under our roof is key to creating a lifetime of health and happiness
