Established in Boston in 2007, The Macrotones are a 10-piece unit steeped in off-beat funk & soul rhythms from all over the globe. Blazing horns meet mighty hooks for a progressive mix fit to fill any dancefloor or in this case, farm patio!

Since typical genre descriptions fail to fully capture the scope of the Macrotones’ sound, new monikers need exploration: imperial funk, astrobeat, or even “a soundtrack for spies” all fit.
A new era for the band began in 2019 when friend and occasional guest vocalist Phil Desisto joined full time. Phil's commanding and gritty vocals, drawing comparisons to Bobby Womack, saw the band embrace more classic soul sounds from the '60s and '70s, while retaining their edgy funk.
Just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit, they tracked a 4-song EP and released Bloody Hands on Music ADD in May 2020. While the pandemic made any live celebrations of Bloody Hands in 2020 nearly impossible, the 10-piece instead performed and filmed a 45 minute set in the woods of New Hampshire, debuting new originals and a couple covers.
The band is finally back to steady gigging and currently working on a full length vocal album for release in 2024.

The farm store is open during all on-farm events til 8pm. Drop in for drinks, snacks, or some local groceries to bring home with you.
