A Halloween Storytime on the Farm
Looking for a little Halloween magic without the candy overload? Come spend some time outside at Vernon Family Farm for a fun fall morning: read aloud, fee pumpkin pieces to our pigs, play on the hay bales, and shop the farm store!
We're welcoming our longtime farm store customer and local children's book author Michael J. Marinaccio to the farm for a special read-aloud of his book, A Visit From the Pumpkin King. Inspired by Michael's love of Halloween, this magical story brings the wonder and mystery of Halloween night to life for young readers.
Perfect for little ones ages 3–8, but all Halloween-loving families are welcome!
Come for the story, stay for the farm, and enjoy a little Halloween magic with us!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Michael Marinaccio
Originally from Somers, CT, Michael Marinaccio received his BFA in theater from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. After many years in New York and LA, acting in independent films, commercials, and off-Broadway plays, he has made his home in Portsmouth, NH with his wife, two children and their fluffy cat Wickett. Michael’s creative spirit and love of Halloween inspired him to write his first children’s book “A Visit From the Pumpkin King”. He is currently working on his next writing project. Bring the whole family to this morning’s show, visit the real farm animals at VFF afterward, shop the farm store, and enjoy a snack at the picnic table.
